How Do I Get My Kids Doing Things Outside? Try A Free Movie In A Park!
June 22, 2016

We know that parents are always looking for ways to spend time together with the kids, and sometimes that can mean a bit of media here and there....after all, don't we remember times with our parents going to a movie or two during the summers?

Well going as a family to an outdoor movie can be fun and add more to your activity that what you may think!  Plan to bring a picnic to enjoy right before the movie in the park, so you and your kids can all enjoy some good food and the sun as it slips behind the horizon before the movie begins!

Movies in the park can also allow for some 'play time' before the movie begins with you either playing a card game on that blanket, or perhaps even smashball or another game or you can bring a box of chalk and find a sidewalk where the movie sponsor doesn't mind your new, temporary artwork to be done (Be sure to always ask first!  ~wink~) and have a family chalk art competition...remember; you've got your family there, so make the most of that time together!

Here is a list of cities here in Utah which offer free movies in the park, which will help you answer the question of; "how do I get my family to play together?' this summer:
