Did you know one of the life skills that most American’s which they had was to be a better cook? Well it's never too late to learn! Even better if you can include your kids at an early age.

Even doing something as simple as naming foods aloud or hearing the whir of the blender helps very young children absorb the activity.

As they get older, they can help pour and mix ingredients. Grade-schoolers can take it up a notch with basic techniques like whisking and chopping.

Give your tweeners a recipe and see if they can follow it to completion. With all the tools available at the press of a few keystrokes, there really is no excuse not to become a better cook.
